FOTEG ISTANBUL, THE FOOD PROCESSING TECHNOLOGIES FAIR, IS IN ITS 10TH YEAR AND CONTINUES TO BE THE FOCUS FOR BOTH THE DOMESTIC AND OVERSEAS FOOD INDUSTRIES!

 

FOTEG ISTANBUL, the International Trade Fair for Food Processing Technologies, organised by HKF Trade Fairs in Halls 1 and 2 of the Istanbul Expo Center from 1th to 4th March 2012, is preparing once again to bring together the industry’s professionals.


The Tenth International Trade Fair for Food Processing Technologies, FOTEG ISTANBUL 2012, is completing preparations for the Industry’s most important rendez-vous. The fair is a unique opportunity whereby all the industry’s professionals are gathered in one place to see and evaluate the latest developments and innovations that will be on offer.


The diverse and broad profile of exhibitors that the organisers, HKF Trade Fairs, have attracted to the fair is eye catching. The fair is receiving the full backing of the Agency for the Support and Development of Small to Medium Size Enterprises (KOSGEB). The FOTEG ISTANBUL Fair 2012, play hosts to both domestic and overseas participation providing the catalyst for international trade and mutual development.


There is no question about the important role FOTEG ISTANBUL plays in the industry’s development and in the creation of new markets and business possibilities. At the same time, by gathering under one roof all the facets of the industry: Food Processing Technologies, Food Packaging, Food Ingredients, Bakery Technologies, Food Safety and Hygiene, the fair presents an opportunity that cannot be missed.


In 2011 the fair was held on an exhibition space of 10.580 Square Metres with a total of 641 companies exhibiting of which 192 were Turkish leaving the remaining 70% of the exhibitors coming from overseas companies. The 2011 fair was visited by 11,836 trade visitors. Huge interest has been shown in the fair as far back as June, with the potential for both new national and international business links driving this interest.


In addition to being the fair to put the spotlight on the food industry, FOTEG ISTANBUL  is certified as a UFI Approved Event, accepted as the quality seal of approval by the international exhibition industry, as well as being Turkey’s first food processing  technologies trade fair.
Each year this fair organised by HKF Trade Fairs goes from success to success making it the food industry’s focal point for following the most current innovations, for introducing the latest technology and technology transfers, for gauging the market’s trends and potential and for engaging in meaningful exchanges with other trade professionals. As a by-product of this has been the year on growth in the number of participants and visitors at FOTEG ISTANBUL that has stimulated the synergy between the big brand names and those smaller companies seeking to establish themselves in the marketplace.


THE LOADSTONE FOR THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY: FOTEG ISTANBUL
Each year the success of the fair’s data speak for the fair’s prowess in making FOTEG ISTANBUL the loadstone for the food industry, currently in preparation for its tenth edition. Last year there were 449 overseas firms from 39 different countries participating, they represented these activities: Food processing technologies, machinery and equipment, food analysis systems, food packaging machinery, food refrigeration and storage systems, food colouring, food fibres, diet products, organic food additives, flour storage and conveyor systems, dough preparation machinery, pasta production machinery and equipment, food safety and hygiene.


High level trade visitors including chairmen, vice-chairmen and their board members, managers, factory managers, marketing managers, heads of quality control departments and laboratories, heads of R&D departments, factory managers, food technicians, sales and marketing representatives, self-employed, diplomatic missions, military catering representatives, hotel F&B managers, bank representatives, members of the media, academics and students from relevant university departments made up the trade visitors’ profile. The trade visitors profile included representatives from these areas of the industry: dairy products, meat products, canning, water bottling, brewing, wineries, fruit juices, frozen food, oils and fats, biscuits, chocolate and confectionary, diet products, food additives, baked goods, fruit and vegetable processors, spices and dried fruits and nuts. There were also representatives from companies involved in packaging, cold stores, electrical and electronic goods, the agricultural sector, catering  and fast-food.


FAIR TIMETABLE:
The fair runs from 1th to 4th March 2012, with the opening hours for visitors being between 10.00 and 19.00. There is no entrance fee for professional visitors.
